Opal's Vendor Spotlight
We take pride in the quality and service of our food and beverage vendors!
Vital Farms Organic Eggs
Vital Farms prides themselves on employing the most honest methods of pasture raising that they can, centered on a respect for their birds and their land. They achieve this by providing only the very best for their girls. It's a fairly simple formula really: plenty of salad and exercise!
Keeping the birds on fresh pasture is a labor-intensive process, but regular rotation keeps the pastures resilient and the birds full of green nutrition. All of their pastures are certified organic, so of course they never use any chemicals or pesticides, but depend on natural growth. The life the hens enjoy is designed to promote their natural instinctive behaviors. Roaming, foraging, and living outdoors is how hens were designed to spend their time. Their birds are also certified organic from day one, and receive no antibiotics, ever!
Segovia Produce
Established in 1972 by Mr. & Mrs. Joe E. Segovia with one truck and one employee, Segovia Produce is the oldest locally owned & operated produce distribution company in Central Texas. 40 years later, they’re still family owned and operated.
Today, Segovia Produce employs 35 hard working men and women (15 of which are Segovia family members). Segovia has a fleet of 25 refrigerated trucks and cargo vans and a 14,500 square foot warehouse located in the heart of downtown Austin.
Hearth Stone Baking Company
Family owned and operated in South Austin, they've been serving y'all here since 2008. And they've just finished their brand-new kitchen on South Congress and Ben White.

They'll come up with a way to make it work. Don't know all that much about bread? They've got a wide variety of products to choose from.

Texas Coffee Traders
Texas Coffee Traders roasts fresh coffee daily
Their facility on the East Side at 1400 East 4th Street sees some of the finest coffees the world has to offer. They practice the principles of "Fair Trade" on both sides of the border by providing a living wage, health & dental insurance and a 401K program for their employees. The money generated by Texas Coffee Traders stays in Austin, Texas. They, like Opal's, are a member of the Austin Independent Business Association.
Coffee Traders was founded by R.C. Beall in 1981 in Montana. He came to Austin and started R.C Beall Texas Coffee Traders in 1994. To put his experience in perspective in 1981 there were only 40 coffee companies in the United States. They sell both to the public and wholesale. I strongly recommend a trip to their store just to smell the wonderful aromas emanating from within. If you get a chance to, chat with R.C. Maybe next trip he'll ask you "How You Bean, Man!"
Smokey Denmark
Smokey Denmark, a Texas family owned and operated company, has been making premium smoked sausage products, smoked briskets, and other smoked meat products for more than 35 years. Albert C. "Smokey" Denmark (with his wife at his side) began his business in Austin, the capital city of Texas, after learning from the legendary sausage makers of Central Texas. From 1972 (when he retired) to the present, our family, like Smokey, has continued to adhere to the highest standards. Time honored recipes, proven methods, modern kitchen equipment, and careful attention to detail enable us to consistently produce even better products today than in decades past. As Smokey used to say, "quality products have few real competitors".
